I believe that birth and postpartum care isn’t just about logistics—it’s about how your nervous system experiences each moment. By prioritizing safety, regulation, and emotional awareness, I help families feel grounded, supported, and confident.

It’s not just what I do — it’s how I do it.

Hi, I’m Beth 💜

I’ve spent years supporting families through the profound journey of birth and the early days at home. My approach is grounded in warmth, intuition, presence—and a deep respect for the nervous system.

I show up for each unique family in the way that feels the most supportive to them, because no two nervous systems are the same.

I believe birth is more than a moment… it’s a portal into a lifelong transformation. And I know that the first weeks at home play a powerful role in shaping how safe, supported, and confident that transition feels.

Each person who comes to me brings incredibly personal hopes, dreams, fears, and expectations—held not just in the mind, but in the body and nervous system as well.

That’s why I practice nervous system-first care. I intentionally tend to my own regulation, grounding, and presence so that I can offer you a calm, steady, supportive space. When my nervous system is regulated, it allows yours to soften, settle, and feel safe.

My goal is to meet you exactly where you are. I offer guidance, reassurance, and hands-on support while honoring your choices, your pace, and your body’s wisdom—so you can move through birth and postpartum feeling supported, empowered, and deeply held.

“It's important for the dads out there (or dads-to-be) to understand the significant value that Beth brings to the experience: If this birth is your first, it's hard to know what exactly the "right" support is supposed to look like at a given moment (there is a lot to remember, after all), and if it's your third (as it was for this dad) the extra care and attention present-in spite of it being a familiar process-meant a richer and more focused one for what we expected to be our last pregnancy. Ultimately, whether you're an anxious newbie or seasoned vet, having a coach in the room (who is NOT also your laboring wife-trust me fellas, you do not want that...) means that mom feels heard, dad feels led, and needless stress is kept to an absolute minimum. Beth's sweet, caring, and consultative demeanor will surely equip any expectant couple with the tools to enter their next chapter with poise and a strong sense of direction. In addition, Beth's postpartum care was exquisite, and one could argue that it's as important for the dads as it is for the moms. Thank you, Beth!”

“We used Beth Brooks as our birth doula and had a perfect experience. She helped me through labor and acted as another advocate for me while at the hospital in order to have the natural birth I wanted. She showed my husband how he could be more involved and I couldn't have made it through without her help. We also have hired her as a postpartum doula and it has been amazing! I was afraid I would develop postpartum depression again but with Beth around I don't see that happening this time. She has been so helpful not only with the baby but also with our other kids, helping around the house, and giving both my husband and I a break to feel a little bit more like ourselves again. We feel so comfortable with her! She is a pleasure to talk to and we consider her family now.”

“5 stars isn’t nearly enough for what an amazing doula Beth is. She is not only knowledgeable, supportive, caring, and kind but she also empowered both my husband and me throughout the pregnancy and birth of our first child. She gave us an idea of what to expect, provided skills which helped us get through some common birthing experiences, assisted us in managing unexpected issues which arose, and surrounded us with a sense of calm as we experienced all these unknowns for the first time. If you have the opportunity to have Beth as a doula, you are truly lucky. I highly recommend her and cannot stress that enough.”

“I am incredibly grateful for the gentle, compassionate support I received during one of the most difficult times of my life. Beth guided me through my miscarriage with empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the physical and emotional parts of this experience. Her presence, although not physical, (via phone) made me feel safe and heard, and not once did I feel alone. Beth offered her own words of encouragement, as well as resources for the next step for my emotional healing. I can’t thank her enough for the care and love she gave me when I needed it the most.”

“Working with Beth has been such a gift, both personally and professionally. I originally connected with her through our shared passion for supporting mothers—me as a prenatal massage therapist and her as a doula—and our connection just grew from there. I later hired her to photograph my massage sessions, and she captured the heart and intention of my work so beautifully. Her eye for detail and her calm, nurturing energy made every session feel effortless. I was so impressed that I also asked her to photograph my daughter’s graduation, and she delivered the same level of care, creativity, and genuine warmth. I’m so grateful for her talent and the collaboration we’ve built together.”

Before all this, I didn't know what a Douala did. Now I do. Beth was so incredibly attuned to both Kristen's and my needs. She is so knowledgeable about this process. She knew when to educate, encourage, review preferences, and advocate. Truly changed the experience for the better having you there throughout the process.

Beth is a remarkable doula. Her non-judgmental, kind, calm demeanor fits perfectly for the doula role. She was knowledgeable to address our questions, supportive of our preferences and decisions, and caring and reassuring related to our anxieties and emotions. “If you are pregnant and have considered having a birth doula (or a postpartum doula) I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Beth Brooks with Life On Purpose Doulas. She is so amazing with helping bring your baby into the world. She is kind, loving, understanding, knowledgeable, and flexible. We had her as a birth and postpartum doula for our 3rd born over the summer and I believe with all my heart that her guidance was the reason I didn’t get ppd again. She was great with my husband as well as with my other kids. I whole heartedly believe in having a doula and Beth is truly incredible. 🙌🏽 We will love and appreciate her forever.”
